Pion Power Tech Pros & Cons
Pros
1
Canadian brand with EV charging, portable power, and energy storage offerings, which may appeal to buyers wanting a local clean-energy company.
2
Portable / flexible chargers are a major selling point; Pion’s Flex-AC line is described as usable on both 110V and 240V, and reviewers note it can be taken along as a portable charger.
3
Safety certifications are a positive point in user reviews, with mentions of UL/CSA certification and solid build quality.
4
Smart features include app-based scheduling, remote control, and charging management, plus an on-device screen/buttons on some models that let users operate the charger without internet access.
5
Rewards program may add value for eligible customers through GreenMiles, which Pion says pays 10¢ per kWh with no membership fees.
CONS
1
App reliability is the most common complaint in user feedback; reviews mention connection issues, inconsistent syncing, and poor overall app performance.
2
Customer support appears inconsistent in some reviews, with users reporting delayed or missing responses when troubleshooting app/setup problems.
3
Some features depend on the app or internet, which can be frustrating if Wi‑Fi is unstable, even though certain models support local controls.
4
Pricing can be less competitive when buying direct; one user noted a much lower Amazon price than the company’s direct price.
5
Warranty length may be a concern for some buyers, with one reviewer wishing for more than a 2-year warranty.
